Jack Larriviere, Founder and Principal Consultant
I am Jack Larriviere, and SageLogic is my firm.
I spent fifteen years in environmental consulting, first as an ecologist and then as a project manager. I wrote the reports. I ran the projects. I dealt with the agencies and the deadlines and the version of the document that had to go out Friday.
I know what it is like to rebuild the same deliverable for the fortieth time. I know what it is like to be the only person who knows how something is done, and to answer the same question all week because of it. And I know what happens when something goes out with an error in it, because my name was on it.
Why I started this firm
When AI tools became genuinely useful, I watched two things happen at once.
Firms that ignored them fell further behind on work they were already behind on. Firms that adopted them fast bought a tool, handed it to their staff with no rules, and quietly created a liability nobody was tracking.
Both of those are avoidable. Neither is avoided by a demo.
What actually works is unglamorous. Understand how the firm really works. Build around what they already have. Write down what the system may and may not do. Train the people. Keep a human accountable for anything that leaves the building.
That is the whole method. It is not fast and it does not demo well. It is what holds up when someone asks how a decision got made.
How I work
Small on purpose
You work with me. There is no account manager between you and the person building your system.
Fixed fee, in writing, before we start
You should know the number before the work does.
I will tell you when the answer is no
If the workflow you want automated is not worth automating, or if a system would create more problems than it solves, I will say so. That happens, and saying it is the job.
Nothing goes out without a person on it
No system I build decides, sends, or signs. It prepares. Your people approve. Accountability stays with a named human, which is where it belongs.
